Sapphire have annouced the laterst addtion to the companies Nitro Gaming series, the Nitro R9 380X. The new card has full support for DirectX 12 and Vulkan API’s and supports 1080p and 1440p gaming.

Based on AMD’s GCN (Graphics Core Next) 1.2 Antigua XT architecture the Nitro R9 380X has 2048 Stream Processors clocked at 1040MHz with 4GB of GDDR5 memory running through a 256-bit memory bus at 1500MHz (6,000MHz effective) giving a bandwidth of 182GB/s.

Keeping the card cool is Sapphire’s own Dual-X semi passive cooling soultion, comprising an aluminum radiator, 4 copper heat pipe and a pair of 10cm dual ball bearing fans. The card also
uses Sapphire’s Intelligent Fan Control II system which turns off the fans completely when the GPU is lightly loaded, making the card noiseless when used for lighter tasks like 2D work or watching videos.
